This informative session offered by Dr. John Harrington, associate professor of pediatrics at Eastern Virginia Medical School, will offer a potpourri of topics related to autism, including recent advances in autism research and information on the relationship between vaccines and autism. The US Dept of Education has unveiled College.gov, a new website that aims to motivate students with inspirational stories and information about planning, preparing, and paying for college.  College.gov features first-person accounts of students who overcame challenges to going to college such as peer pressure, lack of family support, and financial barriers.  It provides relevant, comprehensive information about why go, what to do, and how to pay for college.
